From its base in Swan Hill, Victoria, Entegra Signature Structures manufactures world-class large scale agricultural and industrial sheds, including the largest span structure available in the southern hemisphere.

The deal between Entegra and Blueprint will see the company increase its reach throughout regional Australia and expand its manufacturing capabilities into Queensland. Existing skilled jobs at Blueprint will be retained and new positions are expected to be created in Swan Hill and Gympie through the company’s increased reach and manufacturing capabilities.

Entegra’s General Manager, Laurie McCalman said sourcing and using Australian steel and other products gave the company an edge in supporting and building the productivity of Australian businesses, particularly those in regional Australia.

“There has been much said for the Australian manufacturing sector recently and we are proud to say Entegra has increased its capacity and worker numbers despite the challenges of COVID 19 and the pressures on the national economy,” Laurie said.

“Our structures can be found from Antarctica to Darwin and all points in between. We are excited about the opportunities that will come from our acquisition of Blueprint, which will help expand our presence across Australia and build a firm foundation for further growth in our design and manufacturing capabilities.

“Our acquisition of Blueprint will bring with it a loyal customer base, particularly in south east Queensland, making us the pre-eminent choice for sheds and steel structures throughout Australia.

“Entegra will continue to prioritise the creation of Australian jobs by sourcing 100 per cent Australian materials, and building our presence throughout regional Australia.

“The acquisition of Blueprint will not result in any job losses or changes to existing projects – in fact, we anticipate creating new regional job opportunities at our manufacturing hubs in Swan Hill and Gympie because of this deal.

“Best of all, the growth in our company will support growth in other Australian agricultural and industrial businesses with more opportunity to apply our globally patented Ridgeback engineering technology to structural design solutions.”

Entegra Signature Structures is Australia’s leading manufacturer of dairy, industrial, feedlot, hay, machinery, horticulture and cotton sheds, covered outdoor learning areas, equine arenas and industrial buildings. The company was awarded a Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame award in 2018.

Entegra started life as Swan Hill Engineering in 1986 and remains headquartered there.
The acquisition agreement has been approved by the Board of Directors, is supported by stakeholders from both businesses and will come into effect on September 1, 2020.
